Konohagakure no Sato

Konoha resides deep within a forest at the base of a mountain known as the Hokage Rock, which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved on it. While generally seen as the most powerful of the ninja villages, Konoha has enjoyed many years of relative peace and stability.

The Land of Fire

The Fire Country is one of the largest countries in the ninja world and boasts the largest Hidden Village which is Konohagakure, Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Fire Country is appropriately oriented towards the element of fire typically enjoying a relatively temperate climate with warm sunny conditions, allowing for bountiful harvests all year-round. The Fire Country is marked with heavy vegetation and forests and shares borders with more countries than any other in the ninja world. This allows them to trade heavily with the other surrounding countries, giving them one of the largest populations and strongest economies in the world.

Sunagakure no Sato

Being surrounded by desert offers the village a natural deterrent against invasion, as few foreign powers would be willing to endure the sandstorms and water scarcity common to Suna. Sunagakure itself lies in a fortified valley behind cliffs of rock, with passage in and out of the village restricted to a single cleft between two cliff faces, making the area very hard to attack from the ground. The buildings inside seem to be made of clay or stucco, which would help to keep the buildings cool.

The Land of Wind

The Wind Country is located to the south-west of the Fire Country, and borders the Land of Rivers and Amegakure. The country covers a cast realm, but is significantly composed of deserts and thus has little productivity. Home to the Hidden Village of Sunagakure, Village Hidden in the Sand, the vast and harsh deserts of the Wind Country are a stark contrast to the vivid forests of the Fire Country, with the strangely large population living mostly in villages built on or around one of the deserts many Oases.

Kumogakure no Sato

The village of the Land of Lightning, Kumo was founded by the first Raikage. The village is located in a range of tall mountains, and is literally hidden in the clouds. The Raikage works in a large blue structure built into the tallest mountain. Known for their proficiency of Raiton jutsu, Kumogakure Ninja tend to wear white on their clothing to blend with the clouds.

The Land of Lightning

The Lightning Country is a large peninsula like country and is one of the largest in the ninja world. It only shares a border with one unknown country making it secluded from other countries.The Lightning Country is oriented towards the element of Lightning as vicious lightning and thunder storms are a common occurrence within the land. The Lightning County is divided by a vast snowy and rocky mountain range, with numerous rivers running from it out to sea. Hot springs are also prevalent and villages exist all around the country, protected by its valleys and peaks. The Country has picturesque views and has a mild climate in the summer and a cold one in the winter. It's economy is good, since it is one of the Five Great Countries.

Iwagakure no Sato

The rocky mountain ranges that surround the village provide a natural stronghold that it is very proud of. The village's infrastructure is built from much of the surrounding rock and stone, shaped into tower-like structures that are inter-connected by a network of bridges. The Tsuchikage's residence seems to be the tallest structure with a cone-shaped roof and bears the kanji for "Earth" (土, Tsuchi) on it.

The Land of Earth

The Earth Country is a desolate, rocky area located to the north-west of the Fire Country. The border runs along a rocky mountain range, blocking communication with other countries. The wind blowing from the north passes over these mountains, carrying small rocks from the Earth Country to surrounding countries; this famous natural phenomenon is called "Rock Rain". Home to the Hidden Village of Stone, Iwagakure, the Earth Country makes most of its economy through quarrying and mining, which breeds a strong folk presence, and a strong, lasting economy.

Kirigakure no Sato

Befitting its name, the village is surrounded by a thick mist, with several mountains in the background, making it difficult to find by foreigners. Kirigakure's architecture is composed of several cylindrical buildings, with the Mizukage's office being the widest and largest. Most of the buildings have vegetation growing on their roofs.

The Land of Water

The Water Country is one of the smaller countries in the ninja world and is composed of many islands, with each having its own unique traditions and climate. The central island which is the largest acts as the countries capital and is home to Kirigakure, the Village Hidden in the Mist. The Water Country is oriented towards the element of water as its main influence is the sea. The weather is typically cool and full of mist and lakes, but differentiates between islands as some are covered in snow and others are warm with long, sandy beaches. The Water Country separates themselves from other countries and has a greater defense against outside threats. This country is completely influenced by the ocean and its main income is sourced from their big commercial trades.

The Land of Iron, Tetsu no Kuni

The Land of Iron is an icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja.

The Land of Snow, Yuki no Kuni

Home to the hidden village of Yukigakure no Sato, the Land of Snow matches the Land of Iron in its icy wasteland. Unusually technologically advanced, with things such as railroads and airships, putting them in a state the rest of the world cannot hope to match yet. Their ninja wear special Chakra Armor which reduces the effectiveness of Ninjutsu.

The Land of Rain, Ame no Kuni

Amegakure no Sato is a small but highly industralised hidden village located in the Land of Rain. Its architecture is composed of large metallic skyscrapers with rowed ducts connected to them and many power lines surrounding them. A number of smaller villages also surround Amegakure. As its name suggests, it rains almost constantly due to a storm above the village.

The World, Kuni no Kuni

The entire rest of the world. Anything which isn't displayed anywhere else on the forum goes here. An image of the world can be found HERE, along with more information about any given area. Feel free to go beyond just what's here, we only really know of one major continent.
